Curing Live Rock Questions

The rain prob got to the depth that the rock usually dries out in the 4 to 7 days its out of water in tranship. You lost a small % of the internal rock bacteria- just the stuff on the outside that you wanted gone. Certainly nothing to lose your purse over. I will cycle- all you need to do is get some good coraline rock to seed that process.

fwiw, my lfs always has a monster skimmer running on his lr seeding tank. First he lets it rnse and grow bacteria as stated above. Then he seeds it with live sand and rock. Then its ready for sale. In your case you might be able to skip the last step since your adding it to an established system, just add it slowly. If you can set you skimmer to wet skim I would for a week or two after the last piece goes in. I agree with the above its not the end of the world, just going to take some time.
