I noticed that when I order on the Tunze webside I am getting a currency conversion charge from my bank; isn't this a US sale?

The website and all credit cards are processed in Germany, we just ship the orders from the US. The currency conversion is odd though as it should be charged in US dollars.

According to my bank it is not being charged in USD; could you check with your web people?

I will check into it. It is possible that even though the prices are in dollars the cc processor charges in Euro's. In the EU they have very strict consumer protection laws that prohibit any CC info from being stored in a database or transmitted online to a vendor. A licensed processor receives the data directly. Your parts order comes to me but all the CC info goes directly to the processor and we have no cc info on file. When I ship your order I write to the factory that it was fulfilled, they then approve the charge and the funds that were on hold are withdrawn. The charge cannot be modified in any way it is just a yes or no process. Every quarter they pay me for the orders I shipped. If this is the case we should at least add a note that a currency exchange surcharge may be charged by your cc company.

Why didn't you just go through Barrier Reef Aquariums in Renton? They are a great source for all things Tunze in the Seattle area.
