hello, I just placed an order shiped out today cant wait!

On a side note was hoping I could get some info on the current hanging arm, was wondering if it would work on a giesemann infiniti 250w 4 x 24w T5 fixture or if there would be complications or moding etc needed to make it work.

Hi,

Thanks for the order, we greatly appreciate it! :)

That arm should work just fine with the Infinity. You might have to buy a cable pinch from Lowe's or Home Depot, in which they are readily available in the same area that the chain and cable is sold in their stores, and is very inexpensive.

Also, I saw your post in the Lighting & Filtration forum about going with either the Current or the Giesemann. If money is not an issue, I think you would absolutely love the craftsmanship of the Giesemann unit. I use a 48" Infiniti over my office tank, and it's really nice!

Let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to help.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Thanks for the reply,
just curious what about the giesemann sets it apart from say the rival current fixture?
also do you like the stock bulbs of the gman?

The quality of construction, fit and finish, and the "paint job" are second to none. The finish of the shell rivals a lot of high end auto manufacturers. The T5 reflectors are not the "greatest", meaning they do not use individual parabolic reflectors for that part, but the halide reflectors themselves are excellent!

The 12.5K Megachrome's it comes with are VERY similar to a 10k Ushio. If you like the 10k w/actinic look, then I think you would be happy with it. I am running mine with 2 x 14k Phoenix and 4 x Giesemann Pure Actinic T5's, and am very happy with the appearance.

If you decide to go that route I can get you the fixture with any choice of lamp you decide to go with. Buying a different brand halide is most likely going to save you money as well, as the Giesemann's are not cheap. Having said that, the quality of the Giesemann bulbs are top notch, if you like the look!

Thanks,
Jeremy

how much would it be for just the fixture with no t5's or halides for the 250w 24inch version. i have all the bulbs i just need the unit and ballest, if its possible to sell it that way.

We can get the Giesemann fixtures in any configuration whether it's fixture only, fixture with ballasts and no bulbs, fixture with bulbs and no ballasts, etc.

Shoot me an email to jeremy@premiumaquatics.com and I'll get a quote over to you.

Thanks,
Jeremy
