I think as long as you took onto account how the fans took air in and how it blew the air out.
And allow for the air to not be recirculated.
Then there should be no differnce. enclosed lights like that circulate the air with fans if some componants got too hot might cause a problem.
I have a 48" but why spend all the money on one if you are gonna enclose with a canopy? It would be ALOT cheaper to just build your lights inside the canopy.
If you are buying a used one get ready to dish out some bucks for new bulbs.
