I have picked up a 48" CurrentUSA Orbit light for a 90gallon tank I am working on setting up. I have not decided on what corals I want to keep yet but would this be enough light to grow any? I plan on hanging the lights from the ceiling so I can easily control the distance.

The only bulbs I can find for it online are the following..each dual light is 130W. Also not sure on what combination of lights to use, any advice would be great!!

Dual Actinic, half 420nm and half 460nm
Dual Daylight, half 6700k and half 10k
SmartPaq, half 460nm and half 10k

It is compact fluorescent? It will be okay for some softies and LPS up high. SPS and anything high light is out.

Yes it is a compact fluorescent, softies will be a good place to start since this will be my first saltwater tank. I plan on just fish at first but will eventually add some corals when I get comfortable.

I'm surprised you didn't pick up the Orbit Marine Leds. they just hit the market in October . Still waiting on feedback from a few vendors.

the Orbit Marine LED are sold in my LFS, you can check LFS around you. I saw it, test it without sit on tank, It is bright and only have White-Blue LED.
@angelfish7, i ask my LFS, with your tank, you should mount them on canopy or hang them on so they can cover your 24"W, but it will be hard to go to the bottom of tank

Main reason I went with this light is because I picked it up cheap off of Craigslist. If/when I upgrade the lights on the main tank I will then use this light for the refugium/sump area in my basement.
