hey everyone. ok long story short i bought 100lbs of live rock that was supose to be cured well its not amonia went through the roof. so now its sitting in my 120 with all the filtration and circulation i have. ive scubbed the rock and done a 50% change. so now i just wait and keep doing water changes right?? help!!

Cured rock or not, your bound to have some die off. Is this a new setup ? If so, just let it go through it's cycle. I wouldn't do a WC for a week or two.

is there anything in the tank? corals or fish? was the tank setup and then you put the extra rock in there? you can contact me by pm if your worried about getting flamed. i have done alot of wrong stuff and would just like to help.

Cured rock doesn't always mean a good thing. Generally cured means most of the die off has been knocked away. You can do types of cycling.

Let the ammonia runs its course. IF you have any life on the rock, you risk losing some of it.

Do water changes when ammonia raises high and try to get any decaying junk off the rock. It keeps the ammonia a bit lower which can preserve some of the nice life on the rock. If you just have plain old fiji rock, then it shouldn't really matter.
