Custom Aquarium Manufacturers In SoCal?

Hey all! Been out of the hobby for awhile, missed it a lot, and finally looking to get back into it to make up for all the missed time.

Does anyone have a recommendation for someone to design and build a custom tank that would fit between two rooms of the house? No idea how people normally go about doing this, any suggestions would be great if you know of a reputable company for something like this - thanks!

CD aquariums or advanced acrylic if you are comfortable doing plumbing by urself

Hi all,
Wondering if Crystal Dynamic Aquariums isn't riding off the old reputation from LeeMar. My last tank was an awesome LeeMar tank so I definitely have advocated for that product but after seeing this post I went online and a google search came up with a lot of bad reviews for Crystal Dynamic Aquariums and what was reported as Trent the owner.
I am also looking to get a new tank and was having trouble finding LeeMar or its replacement brand and now maybe I know why? Just putting it out there in the event people have had much different experiences. While I realize people often leave reviews only when unhappy I have come to rely on reviews not to get burned myself.

The only bad things that I can say about Trent and CD aquariums is that the delivery dates for both of my tanks/stands were about twice as long as promised. One of the stands also had some drips in the finish. However, I am quite satisfied with the purchases and will buy my next tank from CD as well.

Apparently there's been a scammer spreading tons of bad reviews on Crystal Dynamics on Yelp, google, etc..

Try looking up actual reviews from people who own their tanks.

I currently have a custom 320g getting made by CDA and so far their customer service has been pretty great. My tank is pretty late as far as timeline goes but I went into it expecting that.

Wow! That's crazy. So unfortunate that people can be so evil. Glad I asked for owners to reply. Like I said I loved my LeeMar 120 star fire.

Real CDA aquarium owners here! We have 2 CDA custom tanks and stands. Can't say enough about service and quality. No particle board stand tanks in this house!
 
Received my 1st CDA 180 w/stand in March. Awesome tank! Very clean and solid. Customer service is top notch. Took a while to get, but worth the wait.

That's interesting. I ran across some of that on another site...


I have a 100g tank and stand from CDA. As mentioned, it took twice as long for them to deliver. The stand is amazing. It's a Malibu stand. I got an electrical panel on one side and doors on both ends. Everything fits perfectly underneath so it's easy to work with.

One thing I've noticed is the extra bracing on the bottom panel and going up the seams of the panels. If you want Euro bracing they do a double brace. I've owned 4-5 Lee Mar tanks and they never included all the extra bracing CDA does. Makes you wonder if Trent, or whoever, came from Lee Mar, why all the extra bracing now?

Only complaint is that my front pane of glass has about 4-5 small, really small but noticeable, bubbles/specks in the glass. I thought they were scratches at first, but they're bubbles.

I purchased and recieved my CD tank, it is 72' x 30" x 24" double euro braced with a PVC type sheet on the bottom of the tank. I am sorry I cannot remember what the material is. I am happy with the tank it sits in my garage until I am ready to bring it in. I believe that I have everything needed to get the tank wet and running with lights and maintain life. So waiting out the COVID 19 out for now.
