Custom In-Wall 150 Project

:eek1: 150 Snails! Holy Crap! :eek2:

Isn't that way too many for a new tank? I was thinking--like 20.

I'm gonna have to look around for a package. What was that edited vendor? Can you PM it to me. Add spaces if you need to.

I just did a clean up crew from liverockandmore.com I am very happy with it and the guy threw in free extras.
Which package did you buy? How did they arrive and in what condition?

I just faced this same issue. Was out of budget but knew I had to get some kind of cleanup crew when i started up my tank. I made the right decision and dropped $150, that i didnt have at the time, on a great cleaner crew from reeftopia.com. I got something like 200 snails and 200 hermits along with some crabs and shrimp. i used a credit card and had over a month to pay it off.

I will tell you, I am so glad I did that up front.

I made my own package. I bought 50 Astrea, 50 Ceriths, 50 Nassarius, 25 Blue Leg Hermits, and ordered 3 polyps of Ricordea all for $130 with shipping. I didn't have a single astrea die and the only ones of the others that I lost were from my stupid Clown Wrasse eating them.:mad2: (he only got 3 or 4) The guy there threw in extra of everything and sent me 10 polyps of 2 different types of Ricordea! They were at my house by 1 pm the next day very well packaged. They were having a little trouble with their email but the guy was awesome to deal with and even called the day after to make sure everything arrived OK.

Conda,
I've been following your progress for quite some time and am very inspired to build a similar setup!

I'm chiming in becuase you asked marc about a post where he saw the idea for a single durso and then a funnel-type drain for the second one. Check out this post, I think it is what he was talking about:

Thanks for the link. I do not see any of the pictures that are posted. Can you see them?

Forget my last post. The pics are being blocked from the proxy here at work. It says they are being blocked due to pornography.

yea, porno of the ocean WOOOOOO TAKE IT ALL OFF SHOW ME THAT TANG BABY

sorry, you will now be returned to your regularly scheduled program.

You guys are killing me. This would not be the first time this has happened to me at work. I get sites blocked all the time for porn, hate, games, etc. Even if the site has nothing to do with them, there must be some words in the URL or page that is triggering the block.

But each block gets recorded and sent to my manager! :eek2:

Call your manager up, and tell him that you're tired of not being allowed to look at other guys' Dursos.

my work does the same thing. I once had a site filtered because "it expresses opinions" or at least that is what the filter said.

I wonder if you can load a different browser and stealthily visit those non-offensive sites. You're on RC, and this is definitely a site full of opinions. :D

I found the ip of our proxy at work. I use instead of the script and Iget around most things. I hit RC enough that I am sure it has been looked at by the IT guys and oked lol.

I just say the heck with it, I should not be surfing at work anyway. But the proxy is a real pain sometimes.

Sorry bout that! Try the link when you get home tonight--It's a very cool tank--actually a lot similar setup as yours.

I just got fired! :eek1:

Just Kidding! :D

I'm going home now and will check it out later tonight. It's Friday night sci-fi, my favorite night of the week! :smokin: So it may have to wait until tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm a loser, sitting home on a friday night--but I have a wife and two kids! Need I say more?

You watch Battlestar Galactica with your kids?
Heeeeeeeeeell no!

It takes me until 8 or 9 to get them fed, bathed, books read, and to sleep. It is like a second job. Then I finally get to do something--maybe.
