Just so everyone knows the site is good to go for another year. I just received a nice letter from GoDaddy.com.

You must manually renew these domain names by 11/13/2006

Anyway, I went ahead and took care of it so there shouldn't be any interruptions with the site.

It's no big deal, it was under $20. I didn't have to pay for the hosting this time. I'm not sure when that is due. I can't remember if I paid for two years of hosting or one year of hosting when I paid for the main site last year. Oh, just in case anyone didn't know the site is hosted by our family business. Unfortunately I have dialup so I haven't been able to update that site in a while, and to be honest I don't even remember how to do it.

I for one would think it would be nice if everyone took some time to thank Bruce for this donation. The $20 may be "no big deal" but when the actual yearly hosting fee rolls around it would be a good gesture to help with that IMO.

Maybe we should donate a set % of our sales at the meet to help pay for these types of activities?

I haven't been able to update that site in a while, and to be honest I don't even remember how to do it.

LOL been there got the tee shirt. I had to completely redo ours last winter. Was a major pita until it started coming back to me.

Yes I think it's a great idea as well.

Any other council members in favor of, or opposed to the idea of taking a small % of sales to pay for the web page or whatever may need paying for? This is not like a treasury fund, it will be paid to Bruce for Webpage fees this time around.

Next time if we need to raise funds for something the need will be posted and we can agree to it or disagree to it.

We can hammer out the details on this matter soon if it's decided upon.

You could also take donations from members at the swaps that do not sale. Or people that have corals that they may want to donate for a raffle, ticket sale proceeds could go to the club for things such as this. If we do a raffle, I will be the first to donate some xenia, perhaps some other things, not sure until mid Oct. to see how things grow.
