Hello,

I am currently experiencing a cyano outbreak. I am working to eliminate the root cause, which is high nitrates. I'm taking steps to resolve the issue, but in the meantime I would am considering using a product to help.

The product I am considering is Easy-Life Exital Cyano Stain Remover. Does anyone have experience with the product? It states that it will not harm fish, corals, or inverts. Any advice or recommendations?

Thank you!!

Hi Nitrates are not the root cause. The root cause is whatever is causing the high nitrates.

Instead of throwing another product into the tank, work on doing large water changes and getting the chemistry in order while trying to find the source of the nitrates. Is it over feeding? Is it a high bioload? Is it die off of some kind?

That's what I meant by root cause LOL. I mentioned I have taken measures to get nitrates under control and I know what causes high nitrates. In the meantime, I'm looking for someone to help eliminate the ugliness of the cyano

water changes, water changes, water changes
keep sucking as much as you can out. it will eventually go away. try to up your flow in the tank also. don't use any chemicals unless its a last resort.
