Cyano eating snails from Dr. Mac

I sent emails to those that have them available in their profiles and PM to the others. The shipment should arrive by 10 am so any time after 10 should be ok. Tracking number on the box is 1ZA85T650140319303.

Jeff thanks a lot ... hope it will help you solve some of your problems.. nice tank and aquascape .....keep us updated...

JCurry, when is a good time to pick them up in rockaway? I work in Parsippany and will not be to far away.

Just picked up mine from John, nice looking snails for a snail. Adds variety to my tank. And have plenty of algae for them, so I hope that's what they go for.

Jeff, thanks for placing the order and thanks JohnS_323 again for picking them up for me. Jeff, sent you a PM.

All of my "wards" have made their way to their new homes. It was nice meeting you John and good seeing you again Ken, Bill, Gabe and Jeff.

Thanks for setting this up Jeff!

Wow! What a hard working group of snails!

Thanks Jeff for putting this all together. Thanks John for the pickup. As always, good to see you again.

Wouldn't you know the patch of cyano I had has cycled out in the last few days! Maybe there's an LFS in the area where we can test these guys out!

I picked up a dozen of those black snails while down at Dr Macs last week.
I don't presently have cyano, but they are impressive microalgae munchers, IMO. Yooz are gunna love them :)
I hope they live awhile.

I currently have an algae outbreak, too much for any snails salty28. They are attacking what's on the glass and some on the rocks. They may not be the solution to get rid of all algae but they will put a dent in it in addition to other solutions. They are not the fix to the problem of what's causing the algae in the first place but they are there to help, IMO. I'm happy with these guys. Unlike the Astrea which do not right themselves, these can right themselves, which is nice.

I was thinking of also getting a lawnmower blenny since I have some hair algae going also. I've read they have a personality like the clownfish which is cool.

I see these critters moving all over the tank and chowing down on something . . . . unfortunately, I don't think it's my cyano. I have a couple of spots that have a nice, thick, red & juicy, delicious looking layer of cyano and they are NO WHERE near them!

Anyone having any luck with them eating their cyano?

Mine haven't moved since I put them in the tank. Anybody think a Ph of 8.4 to 8.6 is harming my snails? Same thing happened with the turbo snails I bought last time.

Mine are moving around but no cyano munching going on... I even took one who was straying from the fuge and put him down on a patch of it and hoped for the best..

mine are munching everything but bubble algae, they move alot too, i think they are good snails, great buy Jeff, thank you for putting this toguether

Gabriel
