cyano question

why is it everytime i put my frag rack in the tank it gets covered in cyano?

i just use eggcrate for my rack...i used the same eggcrate in the sump and dont have this problem...

i dont really have any algae problem to talk of just bubble...

what is going on here?

if i move the frags to sand the cyano clears up?

One possible answer is the rack is slowing the flow down enough to allow the cyano to take hold.

its a flow issue as previously mentioned by 3D-Reef, cyano does not like high flow, at least in my experience.

yeah i knew it was mostly flow realted...but it is about 6" away from one of my koralias...perhaps i will direct the Koralia more toward the rack then...the frags are already swaying pretty good though...and yeah i mean the frags and not the polyps...the polyps are all over the place...LOL
