Cyano - Really need some help/advice. Things are bad.

Glad it worked. I always try not to use chemicals to fix things but sometimes you just need to after trying all the natural methods. Hopefully everything will be back in sync and it won't return, in my tank it hasn't but took 3 weeks to get my skimmer back inline.

Water change to siphon out as much of existing cyano as you can. Dose Chemiclean then do another water change a few days after. Good luck!!
 
Not necessarily. Water changes impact bulk nutrient levels. Cyano is a localized high nutrient region with poor waterflow. Water changes don't impact it without addressing the root causes of excess localized waste and poor flow.

In my case, my corals grow at an accelerated rate and kill each other. Where they do, their decaying tissue causes localized areas of nutrients and the density of the coral branches reduce the flow rate... the only solution is to prune more frequently ... or chemiclean.
