How do you get rid of cyano?

Suction out what you can. Shorten you photo period. Growing a macro algae like cheato should clean up the water enough to help stop it. Also high flow seems to stop it. Theres a few products out there to get rid of it, but as far as I know, they can also kill the desired bacterias in the tank as they kill the cyano bacteria and it usually returns in a few months according to many people who have used them.
