Cyphastrea Brown Out

Hey All,
I am curious why my Cyphastrea is browning out. It has been under a ledge not exposed to Light for almost 2 weeks now. I added it the same time as a RedPlantet Frag and that is doing extremely well..

Params are fine and the only things I have read online that might be effecting it are lack of phosphates or they are extremely sensitive to Salinity fluctuations.

I have a huge chunk of chaeto in my sump so I am assuming my phosphates are low, and I have yet to set up my auto top off so it may swing a little.. but not enough to upset my Red Planet or Frogspawn.


Can anyone think of any other reasons why it is browning?

"Params are fine" and you assume your phosphate is low.

So you gave it no light at all, and are wondering why it's not doing as well as a frag that did get light?

Corals need light.
