Our club received the message below about an opportunity to put together a group buy or club pricing from D&T Aquarium Supplies. It amounts to free advertising for the company, but I thought I'd pass it along in the case that any club members would be interested (this was also offered and posted in MTRC's forum). I was a bit disappointed that I could not find contact information (other than the web-based form) or address for this business on their website, so that might be something to find out before organizing an order.

If someone were willing to organize a group order, it looks like they might have competitive pricing, especially after any added "discounts." I will bow out of this one myself but pass it along in case it could be helpful:

I contacted Tom after I saw the post in the MTRC forum... They do have competitive prices, but there isn't a flat discount... I understand that the discount is subjective to his costs...

Here's a copy of the e mail sent to me a week or so ago... I was going to announce it at this month's meeting, but thats apparently a bust...

sure..we'er always glad to help out the clubs and groups..
What we can do is give you a discount on indivual pricing or a group
order discount depending on what you would like to buy..sometimes we can
do alittle better on the prices and sometimes we cant..but even if we
cant do any better on some pricing its still cheaper than the other guys
out there..
just make up a list with the items you want to buy with item numbers and
send me the list and would be happy to see if i can help you guys out..
i cant do anything on the shipping though.. we do shipping on a weight
scale..we do not add any extra weight or hidden handeling charges to our
items like everyone else does then say look we now have free
shipping..theres just no such thing as free shipping..
all we do ask in return for giving your group discounts and such is free
sponsorship on your site
