I just noticed that D.T.'s phytoplankton is now available as "premium reef blend" the bottle has blue prints instead of green and the particle size has a larger range than the traditional dt.'s phytoplankton. Has anyone used this new product? Can anyone give me a review on it vs. the old D.t.?

Regular DT's contains Nannochloropsis oculata and Chlorella (2-8 microns), and the Premium Reef Blend contains the same, plus Phaeodactylum tricornutum (2-20 microns). So, it's just an extra strain of phytoplankton, with some larger micron cells.

I'm not sure the micron size limit for consumption in tridacna clams (athough, I believe it is well within the limit), but there will still be other life in the tank that could benefit from the larger micron sized cells as well.
