Well, I've been playing with the exposure settings, but I'm not happy with the results so far. I suspect that I just need to take a lot more photos before I'm happy with it, but so far, it either looks like everything in my tank is in the shade (-1), or everything has a spotlight on it (+1). Bah humbug!
As far as white balance control, I'm just using auto. I haven't played around with this and don't plan to just yet. In my line of work, we tend to like to isolate variables singly
. Once I get a better feel for the exposure control, I will start to play with the WB.
@AkaSlyGuy, I have taken ~600 shots of my tank so far. I guess it's the Law of Averages principle: if I keep shooting my tank, eventually I'll get a picture so good, it'll be on the cover of National Geographic!
@Doahh, don't your pictures turn out incredibly grainy with those ISO settings?
@maxalmon, I haven't had my eyes checked since fourth grade, and that's when they told me I had "profound colorblindness." Beyond that, as far as I know, my vision is 20/20!
