Is anybody using the DA controllers? I am looking that the Elitew/NET. I want to control pumps, skimmer, reactor, heaters well very think but lights. I have AI LED and love them and the controller. One of the big things I want to control is the CalRX based on pH level both in the reactor and the tank. Any help would be great.

Thanks

For what you're wanting to control, the RKE will do all that you want. I have one and really like it but I don't use the net module. It's pretty simple to program and easy to use. I control lights, doser, heaters, ATO, Skimmer, fuge light, fans etc...

Lots of folks on here are using DA controllers. I'm running an Elite w/ .net and and MLC. The .net is overrated and I don't even have mine configured right now. You amost need to be an IT professional to get all of the features working.

You could also check out the support forums on Digital Aquatics website. The have a lot of info on setting up calcium reactors.

I own a Reefkeeper Lite from DA and wouldn't use them again. The unit has been good for what I need but DA is seriously behind when it comes to Internet connectivity and other features.

I would get an Apex long before an Elite.

+1 for Apex.

More reliable, more functionality, same price and you actually get support for the product from the company - not something you will get from Digital Aquatics. A lot more people go with Apex, many who have/had DA controller(s) switched because they were so fed up with lack of service or unreliability or promises of features that never materialize.

Spacey :D

I would also really consider looking at the Apex over the Elite. Better service, product, and functionality. Less modules to do the same thing, so it takes up less space and less wires running everywhere. Neptune actually pursues new things, and accomplishes them within months isntead of years.

I have owned both and will never own a Digital Aquatics product again. Neptune or Profilux. Even look at Reef Angel, a little more stuff you need to know to program, but that is improving all the time.

i have a lite with net and sl2. the only thing I DONT like about it is i have more I want to put on it so I have to upgrade to an elite. Once I do Ill control my dual floats for my top off, 2 mlc's, heaters, lights, float in my skimmer cup, sl2 with both the ph and salinity probe, lights, wavemakers, net, and im sure im forgetting things. Hopefully be setting up port forwarding soon to turn things on and off via cell phone. Id like to hook up as much to the controller as I can, I figure if I have it I may as well utilize it
