Thanks for the kind words everybody.
I've got the tripod out and the good lens on the camera since I just got my first "few" SPS and added them to the tank so I'll try to get a few more shots today of the parents and their Nems. For now here's a picture of Dad in the holding container when I got him on 5/29/14.

Yeah odd pattern on female, almost looks like a snowflake.
Still a nice pair and the male is exceptional.
I lost my picasso's I got from donisreef after 5.5 years, I'm about to setup a new 120g and I've been patiently looking for somewhere to order a pair similar to what I had

Yeah the two clowns in the picture above, one is my current female picasso who is the mom paired with the dad I've been showing off. The other is indeed a black ice/snowflake. She lives in the sump currently, but that's about to change in the next week or so.

Unfortunately not. What I did when I ordered was a asked for specific details and sent a picture of what I wanted and they were nice enough to try to catch the closest one they could.
I'm not naive enough to think somebody went through all their stock for hours looking for a singular fish, but I do believe they made an effort.
I also need to amend my story here as the details of my order are coming back to me. I originally ordered the pair pictured from LA. One is indeed a Picasso, the other a snowflake. My snowflake went carpet surfing one evening. I ordered both a Picasso and a Black Ice from CR. I asked specifically for helmets on both. I asked specifically for the picasso's white to be continuous with no breaks at the dorsals, and I asked specifically for the BI to have a clear break between the front and the back.
I was originally going to pair the BI and the Picasso I ordered from them, but when I got them I had a change of heart and dropped the two picassos in together and they've been like peas and carrots since.

I appreciate it, but it's ups and downs like with anything else. the two nems on the outside always look bright and colorful and full of life with long tenticles. The purple one in the middle always looks like it's ready to go into shock and die, but it has looked like this with shorter tents and more compacted since I got it. It is what it is and I don't stress over it. Not going to go chasing tank params or making sweeping changes when I have 2 doing so well and 1 that looks off to me but appears to be happy.

Nice, fairly similar to my last pair.
Not to jinx or anything but I would be a little concerned about the 3rd mag.
Read up on cipro treatment of them.
I would hate to hear that one had an issue that passed on to the other 2 healthy mags.
Personally w/ what you have there I would just pull it and QT it.
if it looks like the tentacles deflate on and off it could have issues
