DO NOT GET RID OF THE ANEMONE!He will be fine IME.I ripped a hole in the egde of my RBTA and he was just fine!Give him time!

I had a GBTA get stuck in a powerhead on time and it was large and it was a maxi mini. It acted like nothing happen and it was chewed up pretty good.

Assuming your water quality and lighting are sufficient the nem should recover just fine. It may actually split also as a way of ensuring part of it lives. BTA's propagate by splitting. Some even will cut the nem in half intentionally with a razor blade to artificially split it. You should be just fine.

thanks guys. i'll give it some time to heal. it's starting to open a little. i hope it's nothing too damaging.

He cut it a little while trying to pry it off the rock. beside from the cut, the foot seems to be fully in tact. the anemone is huge when expanded about 5-6 inches. it's really healthy with dark reddish color. I got it for a steal of 40 bucks.
