Damaged Silicone

I bought this 33 gallon Oceanic 'cube' used. While cleaning it, I discovered that the inner silicone looks like it's been chewed on. Is this something to worry about?

Funny I've caught my tang chewing on the inside seal of my tank on more than 1 occasion.

If your worried than clean it with vinegar and reseal with silicone. They sell aquerium silicone at home depot in the paint section.

Keep in mind that silicone does not bond to itself so you would have to actually strip the current silicone out of there and then reseal. It would mean taking a pane of the glass out, so its actually a bit of work.

I wouldn't worry much about it unless something is leaking.
