Damged by RBTA Sting?

So, this is a really dumb question.. I got stung about a month ago when feeding my anemone. Stung the inside of one of my fingers trying to get the food from my hand....

oops..

It appears I have permanent skin damage to the finger as the skin appears to not heal at all around the stung area.. Is it possible for anemone's to do permanent skin damage? It's nothing major, and just itches now and then, and remains dry permanently, but, From now on, my fingers are remaining away from the RBTA especially when it's hungry!

RBTAs don't have particularly strong nematocysts, and the worst most people get is rash-like symptoms, if the anemones manage to sting a sensitive area (like the underside/inside of the forearm). Usually, the symptoms subside within a few hours.

With the above being said, there are some more serious infections one can pick up in our tanks through an open wound - Mycobacterium marinum for one, that can leave some seemingly permanent bumps/infections on the skin surface.
