Ok, so i just returned from a vacation/collecting mission from the florida keys, and one of the fish that made it back was a damselfish that is bright yellow on the bottom, and bright blue on the top... I haven't really seen this particular type in the marine aquarium hobby very much, and was wondering what species it is...

They seemed to be extremely common down there. thanks :D

yes they are common and get very very aggressive. They actually turn almost completly black when they become adults. I have seriously had quite a few actually bite me when diving or even snorkeling. Thank god they arent the size of sharks!!!

i have never had the ones that are yellow and blue bite me but the brown ones, yeah they do swim twards me when i was snorkelling...

Yeah the little yellow and blue ones do get aggressive but I do believe they turn brown as full adults like thor said. I don't know if this change will take place in your aquarium though as most fish are very slow growers in aquariums.
