Dandelion looking algae/creatures on rocks

Hi everyone, I started a 20 gallon tank at the end of march and its been going very well. Over the past 6 weeks or so Ive had probably 30 or so of these dandelion looking things appear. Ive done a lot of research but im still not sure. Any ideas? Thanks

I've seen it snorkeling in the Keys and had it in my shallow local reef tank. It looks kind of like Acetabularia sp. - Mermaid's wine glass, but you'll have to decide as you get a better look at it than the photo you posted that is all I get to see.

mermaid's cup. Gonna tell you now, it isn't as cool as you think it is right now. I had one or two show up on a snail shell. There are areas of my rock now that are completely coated in a mat of it. Hoping I can keep nutrients low enough to kill them back, or I'll need to do something more drastic about it. My urchin and blenny don't seem to touch it.

Man, I bet those would be an amazing addition to a display refugium! I wish you were close to me in NC, I would absolutely take them out for you.
