Darth Wader's 30g shallow rimless

Nice pics man. where is this new LFS you went to? usually if i buy at a LFS i drive out to nj to tropiquarium

The new LFS is Coral Theory.
Its in bedstuy. They just opened up a couple weeks ago I believe but they have 2 nice frag tanks full of really nice corals. I figure in the next couple weeks they will have all their other tanks setup with livestock. Really nice place with awesome prices.
Check out their website http://coraltheory.com/

Road over the the LFS and snapped a couple of pics. (all off cell phone so quality isn't the best)
Here are some of the frag tanks they have, as well as the new little guy I picked up for the seahorse tank.
Also took a pic of the seahorse tank next to the main tank, again with the phone so pics aren't the best.

Tank is looking good. Love the shallow reef look. What type of corals you gonna try and keep? Just started another open top tank myself. Once that coraline takes off those rocks will be sweet.

Thanks Lpabsolute.
I was planning on going towards sps for this tank however I might just make it a mixed reef. To be honest, after seeing retype tank and how awesome it is, i think I will probably do a mixed reef like that, with probably a few nice sps pieces but a variation of all types of corals.

I love the dimensions of this tank was going to build one but couldn't pass up a cheap 50 gallon cube someday I would like one of these for a drag tank!!

Hey guys, quick little update. Finally feel like the tank in maturing. For a while there I feel like the tank was running a little to clean and now that its maturing it seems to be running a little dirtier and I like that. Also started added aquavitro fuel and am seeing really good results from it.
Anyway, heres some pics.

Here is a quick video I made of my tank. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Thanks guys.
Yes it is a very small female lyretail anthias I picked up about a month and a half ago. She got picked on a bit at first but she is doing good now. Great addition to the tank!!

Tank looks great mate! I have ordered the exact same size tank, but I'm wondering wether I should have gone a few inches higher, do you regret the 12" high? Thanks so much!

thanks CharlieBB. I like the fact the tank is only 12" high. Haven't had any issues with it being to shallow so far. Only things I've noticed is that my rock work in front of the overflow is about 1" from the water level which could be an issues with corals in the future.

Hey gr1mm. I used basic metal plumbing I got at the hardware store that i used metal fastener to hold it to the tank. Then I use screws and simple metal wire to suspend the light from the metal plumbing rod.
