I have been keeping my eyes peeled for a larger skimmer, and i ran across a "DAS Skimmer" on ebay. The guy selling it says its a "legal deltec clone"...something about licensing?

Has anyone heard of these skimmers before? It seems like one hell of a deal....but we all know that game....

Can i link this auction here?

I don't think ebay link is allowed . I owned a DAS BX-1 skimmer . It was an internal unit and it is the same as a Deltec imho . The person stating "legal deltec clone was not fibbing .
I got mine used and it gave me 5 years of good service . Reliable pump/ Quiet and it had some nasty skimate when it was working correctly .
It stopped working due to a leak in the body .
Look up the DAS skimmer club . U can get a pretty good idea of the quality of that skimmer . Sure it's sorta old school but Deltec is still in business .
Hope this helps .

Yes it does :)

Its only $80, and less than a day to go. Hell if i can grab it for around $150 shipped i will be happy.

Great skimmer at a really cheap price.

I think the DAS skimmers are one generation/last version, behind the current deltecs. They are legal copies.

I maybe I should out bid you, j/k....
