Upgraded the old 75. FTS from this morning...lights just coming on:

Sump in progress (The old Elos sump --hacked to include a fuge section on the left):

Needs some re-plumbing. Also the Eheim 1262 (900 gph) may not be big enough to run the manifold. It keeps up with fuge and return, but don't think it will power chiller, carbon reactor, and maybe (future) small frag section. Only problem is the pump EXACTLY fits the return chamber. Guess I will need a second pump?

Some ideas I had this AM: build an acrylic shield that stands a 1/4" above skimmer top. Noticed last night that if the skimmer overflows, it sprays water everywhere ---including electricity bars. (maybe move these over to other side of sand)

Used Industrial Velcro....love the stuff. The new skimmer rocks too. U can dial back the DC input without changing skimmer intake (in case of epoxy etc is causing overflow).

Nearly silenced the drain with reverse Durso in the sump. Will never be bedroom silent...but it works.

Going to upgrade the carbon reactor...thinking BRS deluxe. Hear it works better than the old BRS model. May stop running GFO on this tank --decided I am done parameter watching.

Still dosing Kalk....wonder if it will keep up. Evaporation is about 2g per day. Maybe the Alk is the one parameter I will follow. Never did 2 part before, but may have to do it this time.

Flipper Mag Cleaner....just discovered it. Awesome! Better than the countless cleaners I have owned in the past. I have one that I screw into to a PVC pole to clean the back of tank.

DT flow is gyre 150 --when running it at 40%, it's quiet but may not be enough flow. Pondering going back to Vortech...but they seem hit or miss with noise. Conundrum....mp60 and 50%? Mp40's? .....hmmmmm.

On more FTS as the lights are getting a bit brighter....
