Left side shot. I love looking at the tank this way. My 125 had an internal overflow added here which blocked most to the view.

That's most of the pics. I still have to add gfo/carbon reactors and the two part pumps I am going to use.

The tank is 72" long 24" wide 30" high and eurobraced. I didn't want a 30" high tank with the lighting requirements for SPS, but it was a compromise. Now though, I love it. The stand is 39" which is fantastic.

Also I am using the lights from my old setup, Current Outer Orbit 3x175 mh and 4x96 pc's. Still deciding on what to use. The canopy with the new tank is 14" high, so I think I will use Lumenmax Elite's and 2x250, 1x400. Maybe Icecap's with radiums. If you have any suggestions..............

is there a reason you went with low durso? I thought it has to be higher in order to prevent the splashing sound that the water flow over the top...

Congrats looks better then it did at my house : )

Im glad things are moving forward nicely.

Good luck and happy reefing

I was going to ask the same question...

If you get any gurgling from your overflows, you might stick some airline tubing in your durso "vent" holes...those holes look pretty large...

But whatever works...works. :smurf:

Good show.

Thanks for your help!
Things are moving slowly forward. It seemed like it took too long to get water in it.

I did stick the tubing in, one was gurgling a little. I love reading your thread and stealing ideas:beer:

What program do you set your vortech on and do you ever vary it???

I run the Vortech wide open all the time in the 350G. I ran them pulsating in the 180G.

Did you install any type of support in the back are of the tank? I scrolled through the pictures but didn't have the time to read it all yet and I don't see any uprights at all. 6' long - it probably needs something.

I'd even go so much as to recommend you make an insert out of plywood to fit in that gap behind the bulkheads because that spot was floating with zero support. A snug fit would be better than nothing at all.

There is support at both back ends additional 2x4's, and the stand is enclosed on top. The tank is resting on foam as well. The tank is euro-braced, cross braced and also has corner braces top and bottom. Also the bottom glass is 5/8".

The part of the tank with the bulkheads is free floating. There is a 4x4" support in the front middle of the stand as well.

I can put an extra 2x4" brace near that section if you think it would still need it.

I'm glad to hear there is more bracing installed. I guess I just didn't see that in the pictures or you didn't photograph the enhancements.

I looked at if for so long in my hallway I forgot about those....

I'll post pics

It's coming along nicely, looks good.

I have read your thread many times but never posted, I hope my reef can grow up to be a little like yours. I have a very long way to go.

Pics of the bracing. Same bracing on the bottom. Lots of current from the returns and vortechs.

I hope once I get SPS they will like it.

I ordered a trio of Pseudanthias pulcherrimus from Divers Den and 1 from Live Aquaria. Some pics of the comparison.

One of the trio was doa and another has popeye from an eye injury.
