My little guys were just nose to nose like they were kissing so cute. I could watch them for hours. I have been watching them for hours everyday lol. Fell asleep on couch last night watching them hubby came in at 3 am and said what are you doing?

Those are much better shots. Your softie is looking pretty good. Have any attempted to host? BTW, when the time comes, what kind of shrimp are you getting?

Shilo gave me some pic tips. It helps if you don't get as close to the glass as possible. lol Thanks Shilo. Oh fish making kissie jestures again cute. They have gotten close enough to rocks and things a few times that I thought they were going to, but just play. I know I want a skunk and maybe a peppermint too. I love the fire, but it seems it is pretty with less of a job.

Oh I have seen those they are cool looking. What makes them intimidating? What do they contribute to the reef? My LFS was trying to get me to take home a pistol shrimp yesterday, but I did not get any fish or shrimp etc. I was reading in book and was really glad I did not take home that little bugger.

I had a pistol shrimp for about 3 minutes but my snowflake eel got into fight for the death type thing and ended up biting it in half and eating it. So I basically cannot keep shrimp. Although, the coral banded looks intimidating because of its size and its claws are in the "ready to pinch" position."

I am not sure exactly what they do for a ree bc I have had no experience with them before.

mcbar...when your tank has settled in a little more you contact me and I'll ship you some of those red mushrooms you like as a welcome to the insanity that salt water causes. Just PM me when your ready and we'll work out the shipping...no charge for the shrooms....;0)...Ladipyg

If I remember correctly, the "kissing" is a sign of the two clowns working out whos the girl. lol By the looks of the first pic of the last ones you posted, it looks to me like the one on the left is the Mrs and Mr clown is on the right.

I would stick with a pep and a skunk. CBS (coral banded shrimp) are cool looking (even come in a gold/yellow variety) but they are bossy shrimp, and in a small tank, you would probably only be able to have the one CBS with no other shrimp.

Mel, you should look into trying to join a reef club in your area. They would hold regular meetings, and the members are usually more than happy to sell nice frags really cheaply too ! Its how most people usually get started with corals. Its also nice to have someone who lives close by, in case you need some hands on help, etc. :)

I don't have photos posted b/c I don't know how to do that. Sorry. What other corals do you have in the tank? I've put in orange sun polyps (they "bloom" at night), xenia and a green brain coral, that has lots of seaweed attached to it.

I have a cauliflower leather that was a stowaway, a toadstool leather, a zenia, a candy cane, and a green star polyps. Most are very little. Oh and one single mushroom on a rock:) Also had a feather stowaway.

New pic of one of the babies tonight. I have to say I have the cutest clowns I have ever seen, and I am not prejudice lol:)

I so believe you because the first night when all we had was live rock and sand and I put it in my tank it came to live I sat here till 2 am watching all the hitchikers come out and was amazed. I loved my aquarium from the moment it started.
