Day 6 clowns. ? about tank maintenance

It's day six of having pec clown larvae. They are currently in a 10 gallon and I was thinking of switching them into a 5 gal. There is only about 20 of them left(did not start with a whole lot). They are currently eating brine shrimp. My thoughts of for changing tanks (still using same water) was that they could catch food easier. Also, it would provide better water conditions as the 10 gal is getting a little messy on the bottom even though I've been siphoning it out. Any thoughts on this move? (I can take a credit card as suggested and scrape the bottom of the 10 but fear that this might cause a drastic change in water conditions.)
Thanks for your help.

I would keep them in the 10 gallon and just reduce the water level. From the moment the clownfish larvae are born I kept mine in a 10 gallon tank. I usually start with about 3 inches of water then increase it slowly as they get older. Once they can hunt good on their own I fill it all the way up and stop the daily water changes and switch to weekly water changes and put a sponge filter in. For me that method has worked. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply.
How important do you think scrapping the bottom of the tank is at this point?
Or do you think the syphon method is enough?

Dont do to much maintenance on the hatching tank until after they morph. Just siphon debris from bottom and replace the water slowly.
