Day trip advice

+1 to Cleveland Zoo

It's huge! We are members of the Buffalo zoo as well but only because it's 15 minutes away and free admission to members. I also really enjoyed the Toledo, OH zoo. They have a large aquatic building that was a family favorite.
Toledo Zoo is on my list. Can you tell me the highlights that stand out in your memory?

Pittsburgh Zoo is okay. Lots of walking- up very hilly terrain! (Tougher to walk than Toronto Zoo but not nearly as vast.) The last time we visited the Toronto Zoo it had appeared to be slipping downwards a few notches. Passport laws have halted our travel to Canada.

It's been nearly three years since we were there but my favorite exhibits were the Gorilla exhibit and the Aquatics building. The Toledo Zoo was large enough to be able to enjoy it for several hours, but laid out well enough that you didn't have to walk too far between exhibits. We spent over an hour in the Aquatic building alone. My kids loved the jelly fish display.

Dont know if anyone is interested in drive through safaris but one attached to 6 flags ,borders Jersey &philly. It takes the better part of the day to drive through it.
We made the trip for 6 flags with the safari as a plus but to be honest ,it was better than 6 flags. One of the best trips I ever took.

Anyone ever been there?

-Gary ,

I cant figure out how to post the link directly. If your still interested google New Jersey six flags safari and you should get a bunch of hits.

It truly is underrated.Lots if not most animals roam basically freely.
