DC 170 died, is there a good replacement?

I have a DC170 and have loved the pump; quiet, reliable, etc...

Today, the pump control box went dark, blew the fuse, replacing the fuse, it blows the fuse immediately. I guess after many years the DC control box has gone the way of the Do-DO.

Now the interesting question; is there are compatible replacement for this pump? I remember hearing of a new series forthcoming but as mine has been working I haven't followed the market; quicker to ask I think in this case.

I notice the SpeedWave series; how do these pumps fair?
