DC4HD not working

Today my DC4HD did not turn on my Metal Halides as it has done every other day.

Do these units have a built in fuse that could have blown?

Ok, I checked the fuse and it doesnt seem to have blown.

The DC4HD will still click but anytime I plug anything into it, no power is being supplied to the source.

WFG,

I had a problem with my DC4HD also. One of the internal relays was toast, so the outlet was not getting any power. Have you checked the outlet with a multimeter to see if it is getting power? Talked to Curt and he had me send him the broken one, and he sent a new one out.

I was also having a problem where my lights would turn on/off when they shouldn't be. A firmware update from Curt fixed it.

Also, I am sure you have checked this, but have you looked at your programming statements to ensure that the outlet should be on?

Also, have you tried plugging your MH's into another outlet to ensure that your ballast hasn't blown?

The ballast are fine as they are now plugged into another DC4HD and a regular power strip until I find out what happen.

I dont own a Multimeter to check power.

My lights have been working fine until day. Never had a problem with lights turning on/off outside of the commands I give them.

All statements are fine.

I believe I may be having the same problem as you did with the relay.

If one source is bad, does that mean all 4 outlets wont work because I cant get power to any of the 4 outlets?

Hmm,

Each outlet in the DC4 has it's own relay. It is hard to believe that they all would fail at the same time. Are you certain the fuse is good. Also have you checked to see if the outlet the DC4 is plugged in to has power?

Replace the fuse. It is more than likely the fuse and you just can't see the broken part. I had the same thing and it ended up being the fuse. The relays will still click.

I agree. It does sound like the fuse is blown (no power to any of the outlets, and the relays still click).
