Dd pair of bluelines

Thanks for clarifying Kevin! If I had room and was in the market for bluelines you are one of the only sources I would consider.

LA DD is second to none when it comes to the way they handle and condition their fish. Of course this can attribute to the price but a good deal fish that dies is not a good deal.

Wow, fish patterns aren't nearly as random as I thought in that case! Very cool! Thanks for clearing that up.

Congrat on your new addition and can't wait to see pics. :)

I highly recommend QT the Blueline angels. I never QT before till last year after getting a Blueline that came in with velvet and I don't have to tell you the after effect. I also find BL more susceptible to ich than my other angels but once they settled in they're pretty much bullet proof. Get the BL to eat prepared food before going into the DT the rest will be easy and I'm pretty sure they will hold their own. Smaller ones are easy to get to eat flakes and the bigger ones will take a bit of time to start eating pellets.

I received a 4.75" BL last March and it's about 6" now and a 3.5" last Sep which is about 4.25" now.

I agree, they seem more susceptible to ich than my other angels. I have had two and both have had ich issues in QT and out. A good long QT proceess is needed for them.

Greetings,

I was alerted to this thread about the two different pairs of Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis we had listed this week. Just to clarify the pair listed on Wednesday evening, and the pair listed on Friday is in fact two different pairs of fish, and if all goes well there will hopefully be another listed very soon!

Thank you to everyone for all of your interest and support!

Cheers,

will you guys have any singles available soon?

Thanks for clarifying this matter for us. I'm very surprised that these Bluelines share identical markings!!

Last night just before lights out, I vacuumed and moved the rocks around and then introduced my Hybrid PBT into the DT. Found out this morning that he is a model citizen, not chasing anyone around the tank. My Purple Tang is still chasing the Yellow Tangs but he leaves the PBT alone.

Next week, on Thursday, I have a harem of Flame Angels coming (1 male +3 females), hoping that the PBT and the Purple Tang behaves.

As you well know, I won't be getting the pair of Blueline Angels since I cannot properly QT them, the harem of Flame angels was ordered 3 weeks ago.

Is there a sticky primer for Flame Angels??

The thrd posted by Jaken on FlameAngel Group is good reading material and would be good if you can add to it.

Thanks, I will.
BTW, I end up adding the PBT into the DT before the Flames arrived. The PBT was getting stressed in QT so I moved him. Next will be the Flames and later I might add an adult Emperor.

How are your flames doing? Still one male and 2 females? How does your PBT gets along with them?

I have to just laugh at the LA fanbois on this site. It is pretty entertaining to see such a defense of a company that most have absolutely no financial interest in. It always cracks me up.

Yeah, youre right. We should only defend the things we can financially gain from. Youre ridiculous.

I'm interested in keeping LA going strong, I like to get my fish there. No, I dont have any money invested into LA, I'm pretty sure that's not even possible unless you want to just give them a donation which isnt exactly an investment :P I still would rather not see them go down just so that I know I have a good source of fish.

With that said, I find it astounding that both of the male bluelines in this thread have the exact same pattern down to the dot, it's like they are twins :)

Why do you care? People are happy with their service and they tell people about it on a message discussion board. This allows us to discuss it. If you dont like discussion, you came to the wrong place.

There have been a lot of bluelines in Europe recently from Vietnam. They are generally pretty large ( 6 inches plus) and the first batches were very beat up (I tried one, and it matched Copps's description of swimming dead to a tee). Later ones have been better. I've seen 10 or 12 now, only one less than 5 inches. They are priced at the cheaper end of the prices in this thread.

Whilst not living in North America, and obviously have never ordered from LA, I for one find it pleasing to find a retailer the does have "fanbois" support.

Responsible retailers are few and far between, and the fact that LA garner support from "hardcore" hobbyists to me is a wonderful thing, and speaks volumes for their dedication to the hobby.

The only criticism I have read in regards to LA is their pricing, and as far as I am concerned I would rather pay 50% more for a "guaranteed" healthy fish, than a cheaper "iffy" one.

Remember, if that one "iffy" fish dies, and you replace it with another, you just lost out on money by not buying the more expensive one to start with.

Bluelines seem to be popping up a few places, bluezoo, nyaquatic
I guess they must be in season.

The nice thing about them, besides their look, is they're just not very aggressive, unlike a lot of the other large angels.
