Dead Blue Coral

Someone gave me a large piece of a dead blue coral. While the outside skin is brown, the skeleton is blue. Does anyone know how they remove the brown skin to get to the blue skeleton. I want to use it as a display piece in my house.

if it still has flesh its not dead yet.

if you want to get the flesh off scrub it with a stiff bristed brush.

It's an unusual type of coral.

Sounds like Heliopora. All of my LR is Heliopora! It's very nice looking.

That must really sting! As far as i know, Heliopora is fire coral.
