Dead Bubble Tip Anemone Problems?

We've had said BTA in our tank for maybe a little over a month now, and he's had his ups and downs, mostly downs. But today he crawled into the filter and got chopped to pieces and dispersed throughout the tank. So what i'm wondering is if his insides being strewn about the tank will have any ill effect on the other creatures in said tank. There is another anemone (LTA) in the tank.

Thanks!

Yes it can. Not only will it pollute your water with a lot of nutrients (it's now a bunch of decaying flesh), the nematocysts from the tentacles can potentially sting things they come in tact with. I'd recommend running new carbon and doing some substantial water changes over the next couple days.

They can nuke your tank, blanden is absolutely correct. I dealt with the same thing and did a major 50% water change and ran fresh carbon. It was not fun but I did not lose any corals. It's the type of thing I would not put off. Good luck

On the plus side you may have a bunch of new baby nems soon lol
Hahah always look on the bright side of life! You definitely should run carbon and do some extensive water changes (100% in volume within a week, its really fast, but it is necessary)
