Dead fish.

So my purple tang has become a monster. So far this week she has killed 3 reef chromis's a orange shoulder tang and is working on killing a sailfin.
Catching her is proving impossible, and honestly I didn't even consider any chance she would go all Rambo on the fish population.
My orange shoulder tang somehow got into the 150's over-flow chamber and died last night.
I didn't have time this morning to MacGyver his little body out. I'm hoping he is the last killed.

Mine did that to me also except they were far more expensive fish. It killed my favorite flame wrasse. But now it's a baby.

That sucks man, tangs can definitely be super aggressive. I have no doubt if I put another tang in my tang it wouldnt last 24 hours. My blue hippo is the supreme being in my tank.

Dead fish.

What are you going to do with the purple btw?

I don't know. If I can get her out I'll put her back in with the new fish I want. She is super fat, and happy. if I do have to consider letting her go then I'll post in the Slash forum the way I did when my blonde naso out grew my last system, first slash member that PM'd got her [emoji41] and she went for a bucket ride around town.
Honestly the purple tang is my favorite fish, such bright coloring and super active (not shy) but now the tank looks empty.

If you get her out I wouldnt put her back in until your other fish are comfortable in the tank,2 weeks to a month after you get the new fish in the tank.

I could fill my 90 up, fill it part of the way up with a heater and powerhead. It wouldn't be fancy but it would be easy.

You think maybe your Naso was keeping her in line?

The naso was the boss, but more like a gentle leader. The purple's aggression came out of no-where. It never had a problem until.......the poor orange shoulder dropped in the tank. It was like it's turbo mode clicked on; its fins went to full mast, and the color seemed more intense (just noticed this last night.)

I don't really want to get rid of it. It's a striking bright fish. I'm going to have to think on it.

After considering my options I have decided to let the purple tang run the tank.
The current population seems to be ok with it, and the sail fin seems to be gaining ground now that the orange shoulder tang is gone. I placed algae sheets at both ends of the tank. The purple patrolled both for about 30 minutes but then seemed to pick the more rocky side and started to eat. The sail fin stayed around the open water end eating and flashing its fins. It has stress signs, I don't believe it's iche, just massive stress.
I put heads of broccoli at both spots this morning.
