Dead Live Rock?

Hello, I just bought a second hand setup, and I have 80lbs of 'dead live rock' (Fiji) that has been dried out for about 5 months.
I just wanted to know what the best thing to do with it is? I do have about 50 lbs of good live rock with lots of coraline growth on it. Will the live rock I have bring back the dead rock over time? Does any one know how long it would likely take?

yes it will bring it back might take a few months but it will come back to live rock nothing on it to die off so your tank wont cycel with it

It will start to become "live" with bacteria shortly after being placed in the tank with the liverock. As far as the coraline and other stuff, it will take a few months to start to spread and in six months to a year, you probably won't be able to tell which was which.

As far as prepping the rock, many here will say rinse and dunk.

Personally I would place the 80 lbs in SW and begin cooking the rock with about 1-5lbs of the live rock. I would do this for several months until phosphate levels are zero after 1-2 weeks in the same water;)
