Dead snails a clue?

im an addict lol
ok did a much needed water change today. and I always inspect the discard water before I dump it. I noticed thousands of these small snails dead :( I have also been loosing some SPS corals lately and I haven't been able to figure out why. any correlation with the snails and the sps?

corals are large have been grown out in same tank no changes is light or flow. all parameters and stable tank controller keeps everything in check. all testing is good and double checked with second test kits.

corals are STN from base up. 1 or 2 corals at a time. in the beginning now happening more rapid. I have a nice camera and have taken some macro shots don't see any pests bothering the corals.

here is a pic of the dead snails

1 of the first sps to go. polyp extension is less now too

tank parameters are posted in my signature under the post

Hope we can find out soon Roger, lost my rose Millie last month about the same way. Thinking they did the chlorine/chloramine flush again with the water department

I would check to see if there is any rust coming from anything just as mag cleaner. Second, check to stray voltage. But I'm leaning towards chemical related such as rust or something else. Best of luck and hope things will bounce back nicely.
