Dealing with Sponge overtaking Zoas?

I have a fairly large zoa frag that has become infested with some sort of sponge. It started off as what looked like pineapple sponges that were easy to pluck from the frag but it's now become something that is growing between each individual polyp. These polyps are clearly irritated and aren't opening anymore.

What can I do to kill this sponge? Is there any sort of dip, etc... that will take care of it.?

You might see if increasing the light discourages the sponge: many don't like light. Neither do zoas, but maybe not quite as much.

I left the frag exposed to the air for about 3 minutes and then put it in a iodine dip for about 20. We'll see what happens...
