Debora!

Hey debora been following your amazing thread, and just switched to AF component 123. How much of component 3 are you dosing and how much do you recommend on a 80g total volume system.

Now I am using 250ml every Component.
The amount of liquid depends on the consumption by corals...

Short movie... POLYPS:)

That is absolutely spellbinding, Deborah!
I also like the little mysid shrimp swimming around in the first 5 seconds of the video.
Amazing!

Debora:

I have been subscribed to your thread for quite sometime and am never disappointed. I hope you are not aggravated by the constant flow of compliments and questions! You system is clearly incredible and far above most. I wonder if you can answer a few questions:

1. Your polyp extension is incredible. Is this what it routine is or was the video shot during or shortly after feeding? I want to know if that amount of PE is even possible to expect throughout the day. I get something like this but only at night.

2. I also noticed that you have some type of wave generation as the polyps flow back and forth. What are you using for water movement and do you keep this constant or varied? For instance, if you use an Ecotech pump(s) do you leave them on a NT, wave, (?) mode or do you vary it? I also notice that the polyps are not getting "blown away" so that your flow around the corals (at least at the time of video) is low to moderate. Any thoughts on flow in your set up would be appreciated.

3. Lastly (pardon the long post) you mentioned that you "trim" your corals. What are you doing in this process? Are "pruning" small growths to keep the shape and size as one would with shrubs in a garden or are you just timing growth when it is growing into another coral? When you do trim, what do you do with your frags? As I do not have a steady source to give or sell my frags, I am always concerned about just timing branches and discarding them as this seems almost wasteful to me but on the other hand, I don't want things to get overgrown and start reeking havoc - shading, stinging, etc.

Thanks again for keeping your thread up to date and answering questions for the rest of our benefit. Your thread has been an incredible inspiration and clearly has been a great advertisement for aqua forrest products (yet to take the plunge but watching the boards closely for those that have recently implemented it).

All the Best for continued success! Keep inspiring us.

Oh my word your tank is incredible!!! I have never seen so many corals looking that healthy.
How can we emulate that? I've been using AF products for about a month now seeing good results but nothing like yours, well done.
How do you get such good growth with NO3 and PO4 so low?
Big thanks again for sharing.

Thank You Everyone!
I am glad that You like my (hard and enjoyable)work:)

Thank You For Your questions:)
I will try to answer You the best I could:)

I did that movie at morning - maybe polyps are more extension than at day but not much smaller.
I love photography but I can't show polyps flow on that - so sometimes I will make short movie:)

2. I also noticed that you have some type of wave generation as the polyps flow back and forth. What are you using for water movement and do you keep this constant or varied? I am using pumps:
Tunze 6155
Jebao WP-40
Jebao RW-15

On that movie You Can see full movement.
I set them as I think is enought. Water is flowing around corals not straight to my favourite polyps:)

Yes - I am doing frags from my corals like bonsai:) I trim that to keep size and shape - as You wrote.
After that - I am sharing with my friends or selling in local forums.

If You fave any question - feel free to ask:)

i just love my corals - I think that Thay can feel it:)
I am using AF products from 3 years - 3 years without any another brand.
In that time I learned much - I moved my tank from 300L to 420L when I change my apartament( 2km). To be honest- I think that there is no only one right methods to have beautiful aquarium.
Everything need time to works correct so We have to be hope to see Your corals in health:)

About NO3 and PO4 and growth - when nutrients is low - You have to feed corals to let them grow:)

Debora.

As usual, just beautiful. Love the composition of some of your photo's, they kind of pull you in for a closer look. Well done.
