"Hi everybody!" (ala Dr. Nick from The Simpsons)

:celeb3: In case you haven't heard, our December meeting is going to be awesome, from its location to the special guests and speaker! :celeb3:

Tom (northbay-reefer) has graciously offered to host, so it will be at his house in Windsor, Saturday December 12, at noon. PM me or Tom for his address. Tom has recently reworked his massive tank with some fabulous aquascaping and has acquired some terrific corals to stock it with.

But wait, there's more! Randy Reed from Reef Nutrition has offered to come speak to us! And Gresham Hendee, organizer of BAYMAC and also with Reef Nutrition is rumored to be making an appearance.

Plus, as if that wasn't enough, Jim Adelberg, executive editor of Reef Hobbyist Magazine, cofounder of BAR and owner of the new Green Marine captive bred fish and coral store in Berkeley has indicated an interest in attending.

There will be a special raffle and a frag swap. :lol2:

Would someone like to take charge of organizing a white elephant gift exchange?

As for food, as Tom suggested, let's do a wine/beer/soft drink finger food pot luck.

With the pot luck format, bring food or drink in lieu of cash. If we all bring something, then no one has to bring a ton to feed everyone. Please indicate whether you are attending and what you're planning to bring on this thread.

Our guests have mentioned interests in red wine and gewurtztraminer, so let's not disappoint them. We after all, the Wine Country Reefers!

I will be attending with some grilled chicken legs.

To quote Tom, let's "turn this into a fun fun fun party :celeb1::celeb1:"

I think I'll be there .... LOL

Good job Ken !! the corals are all fragged and sitting in my tank waiting for the winners to take them home.

Awesome Tom! Thanks for doing that.

I'm pleased to announce to the club that we are building a fabulous collection of prizes for this month's raffle that can go in almost anyone's tank! We have already picked up some sweet duncans and some super bright dendros and have made arrangements to score some colorful acan lords as well.

Drum roll please........I will bring an abalone!

Tom, I will yet you have the honors of cutting it. It will have to be frozen as the season ends this weekend so cross your fingers for some good weather so I can get in the water.

hey guys Im a little concerned about the Food. Should we think about spending a little raffle money on maybe something just to be on the safe side.

Pizza or Mex is easy and Cheap

I'm against spending raffle funds on food. The raffle already took a big financial hit this month. This meeting is a pot luck format and those who have said they are coming should bring food or beverage as they are supposed to. It would also be helpful if they would let us know what kind of consumable they are bringing so we can avoid too much of any one thing.

If we all bring a little, no one has to bring a lot. And we'll still have funds for future raffles.

I will be there, can bring a bottle of Red and something to chew on
I may have a guest

I could throw a couple racks of Ribs on my new Traeger Pellet BBQ
Been Dying to make some on it
I have sausages smoking on it right now:dance:
