Hello fellow reefers and aquarium enthusiasts,
Well it took quite a while for all that tryptophan from the turkey's to wear off, but we all made it. The holidays are in full swing and so is the Connecticut Area Reef Society. This year for the month of December we are going to honor our tradition of a holiday get together with some extra added fun.
Would would like to ask our members to please bring a dish to share at the meeting. We will provide plates, napkins, silver ware, and soda. We have had some great food and beverages at the past holiday parties, let's keep that going.
We are also going to have a reef trivia game. Nichole is putting together the questions for us and we will pick teams. The wining team will receive reef related prizes.
After the reef trivia we are going to hold a "Yankee swap". This has been a huge tradition in my family for as long as I can remember. It's always a hooting and hollering good time and a great way to regift the worst present ever imaginable. All members who would like to participate in the "Yankee swap" should bring a wrapped gift of an approximate $20 value.
Last, but certainly not least, we are going to hold our monthly raffle. We will be raffling off not one but two reef keeper lite controllers to two lucky members who are in good membership standing. As always we are grateful for any items that are donated to our monthly raffle by members, the generosity in this club has always been amazing and we thank you.
We look forward to seeing everyone at:
