deep dimensions stand questions?

I'm upgrading to either the the deep dimensions 250 or 300 with the stock cabinet and top.

Can someone tell me if there is a panel on the bottom (floor) of the stand. I'm thinking of putting the stand on top of another base so that its at a higher viewing level and I thought it would give more height for a skimmer.

I saw one at a LFS and it has a full bottom. I would DEFINITELY raise it up. With the Marineland stand, the top rim of the tank was a couple inches below my eye level and I'm 6' tall. I've got a 240 (5x3x2) and the stand I built is 38" which ended up being perfect.

Anyone know the tallest skimmer height that will fit in the stand?
