Deflated Anomene

Okay guys and gals, I need some help with my new anemone. Last Saturday I purchased two Rose Bubble Tip Anemone's for my 72 gal tank.

After the first 36hrs, it didn't appear that one of them was adapting very well, it stuck in one place for a while, but then detached. After the 3rd time, I took it back to the store for credit for another one (will be getting that next wk).

The 2nd anemone seemed to be doing great. Never moved, was open and looked healthy. Tonight, over the course of about 15 minutes, all of a sudden, it "deflated" and shrunk about 1/2 or even 1/3 of the size. Is this normal for it to occasionally do this? The lights were on and we were not touching or playing with the tank. Nothing had changed other than normal feeding w/in the past 24hrs.

I have 2 clowns which have not yet taken to the anemone, which was my other question. How do I get them to take to it?

It's normal, this is how they expel waste.

Let the clowns find it on their own.

awesome, thanks. It's been about 4hrs now and it's finally opened almost all the way. Scared me for a while, thought I had lost 'em!

How often does that happen?

Mine deflates the day after I feed it and sometimes at night.

This is really weird. It's not just deflating, it's almost completely closed after spewing the brown crap. It happened again tonight (same time as last night).

Last night I swished the water around it to make sure it was still attached and it was. Tonight, when I did that it fell off the rocks so I placed it back on where it was. Not sure if he was trying to move or is dying. Will have to keep my eye on it.
