Dehumidifier water

OK, so I have a humidifier now and I get a full bucket (30 pints) of water every couple of days. Would it be safe to use as top off water? Isn't it considered distilled after it is processed by the dehumidifier?

i would not.

the moisture in the air that its collecting is also collecting air crud.

water flowers with it,

The water collected by a dehumidifier isn't pure. The water comes from condensate on refrigerant-type coils and it collects in a basin. The water washes dust out of the dehumidifier as it drips into the collection basin, where it also collects dirt.

I though about doing that till I stuck the TDS meter in it and came back with a worse reading than my tap water!

Do you think if you would dechlorinate it, it would be ok to use? You may also need to add some of Marc Weis's magic black powder and then it should be great to use. Or maybe some sponge power would kick it up a notch.

It shouldn't need dechlorinated as it's already been sorta distilled. The TDS levels I got were down right scary. Up around 400ppm compaired to around 300ppm on my tap water. I wouldn't use it unless I could run it throught a RO/DI filter.
