AMEN Phil! Count me in on the photography lesson! I sure need it!
I am also interested in different aquascape methods. I have been drilling holes in my rock using a hammer drill. It's a long tiring process! I am keeping my concrete bit cool by submerging the rock in a big tub with just enough water to cover the rock to be drilled. It works better if you wedge a rock or two around the one being drilled for stability. I am no way near done!
I bought marine epoxy glue that sets up in 50 minutes from home Depot. I am going to try a hairbrain idea! I actually talked to a friend yesterday who said he has had great results using this epoxy and would do it again! It kinda reinforced my idea that it should work! I'm thinking I can get the bottom rock where I want it, decide where I want to stack the rock on top, lay out the glue, stick them together and cut/wedge pieces of styrofoam to fit around the top rock to hold it in place by using the glass wall as brace for styro. The next day ishould know if it is strong enough to hold it. I have long skinny pieces of styro, so I am hoping it will allow me to make caves! Anyone tried this yet?
This isn't a demo but is interesting to watch. I wasn't sure if our media guro (Brian!) had the ability to show a DVD. I borrowed a book from our library with a fantastic movie showing Ronald Shimek's tanks and how his clams spawned in his tanks. It might be nice to run the movie on a loop to allow folks to see it. The photography was gorgeous!
