Dendro feeding and vacation

I will travel for almost 3 weeks at the end of June this year and my tank will be taken care of by my adult daughter. She will do top off, feeding fish with pre-measured amount. Dosing is automated as well as lights. I have a small Dendro that requires spot feeding and I'm not comfortable teaching her how to do it. So do you think that the dendro may survive for 3 weeks w/o spot feeding? If not I will need to start teaching her how to do it.

My lfs had a Dendro that they did not feed for two months, they said they did but when I asked what, they said phytoplankton...
But the dendro was beaten to a pulp last time I saw it. To be honest it is not going to hurt to teach her who to do it.

Sometimes we don't give people enough credit. I recently taught my husband how to feed corals and do all the maintenance as I have health issues and land in the hospital sometimes. I was kind of impressed at how easily he picked it up.

Agreed, wouldn't be hard for her to learn.

With that said, a healthy Dendrophyllia would not starve to death in three weeks, although it will certainly be ****ed off for a couple/few months afterwards .

I went 12 days without feeding once. It was OK but not happy as it wouldn't open to feed again for several days when i returned. I felt I was approaching the limit at 2 weeks but am not sure how long they can go. I'd teach her to feed it and possibly condition it to feed when she'll be visiting. Or have her visit at the times it's typically open & ready to eat. If you can get the Dendro to eat at least 3 or 4 times or more you should be fine.
