Pardon the graininess. I used ISO 1250 due to the dim lighting in this tank, but still needed relatively fast shutter speed to prevent blur. It's hard to tell, but he's eating a mysis shrimp.

Not bad, man. It's a cute little crab, I really liked the one I had in my tank.

I have a nice little plugin called Noiseware that is pretty good at removing grain from high ISO. It might be worth investing in if you take a lot of that type of photo.

I hope you dont mind, I ran it on your jpg just to show you what it can do. It does a lot better when working with a higher resolution image...

Thanks Recty, I don't mind at all. Now that I'm at work, I see that my original was too dim, but looked fine on my home monitor in a dark room.

Yeah, you might need to lower the brightness on that monitor or calibrate it, I was at home in the dark on my LCD and could tell it was very dark.

But I was mainly just trying to show you how nice a job some plugins can do of removing noise :)
